My Menagerie explores animals through abstraction, focusing on energy and presence rather than realism. These original abstract animal paintings are created through layered mark-making, allowing forms to emerge naturally through process. Animals provide a starting point, but the final work evolves through instinct, texture, and colour. Some marks are deliberate, while others appear unexpectedly as layers build over time. This creates paintings that feel alive and expressive rather than fixed or literal. Collectors across the UK are increasingly drawn to abstract animal art for its ability to combine familiarity with emotional openness. These works bring warmth, movement, and individuality into a space while remaining firmly rooted in contemporary abstraction. Each painting is created, finished, and prepared entirely by hand in my Oxfordshire studio.
