Hello interested art lover/potential new fan,

I am Jo. My work is influenced by abstract expressionism, impressionism, futurism, & the emotive power of music. Through layers & textures my intention is to capture an energy that resonates on a deeper sensory level.

I’m mother to three young children & two elderly fluff balls. I’ve always painted, it makes me happy, but I never had the confidence to show my art. Moving into the parenting phase of my life led me to hosting new acquaintances in my home who would enthuse about the art on my walls & compliment my taste without even knowing I was the artist. This helped to build the belief in myself I needed to show my artwork.

Now it’s my full time job. I paint, I make prints & cards, I doodle fun characters called Everyday Womtras, which align with my sense of humour & I make gifts from them. I paint commissions based on detailed briefs, creating something deeply personal the owner can cherish. I exhibit in galleries & go out to markets to show my art to as many people as I can. It’s a stark contrast to just a few years ago.

Buying a piece of my art, or commissioning me to paint a bespoke piece just for you, would make me eternally happy. It’s through selling my work to people like you that I’m able to live my dream.
