Jo Wright | Abstract Artist

Jo Wright is an abstract painter based in Oxfordshire, UK. Her practice explores the energy of movement through layered textures & dynamic mark-making.

A self-taught artist, Jo has developed her own methods over years of painting, drawing inspiration from her neurodivergence & embracing a process-led, sometimes chaotic approach where creation itself becomes part of the finished work.

Since founding Jo Wright Creative Ltd. in 2023, Jo has exhibited widely in the UK & internationally through online platforms & auctions. Her work has been shortlisted & awarded honourable mentions in juried exhibitions, & she continues to connect with collectors at galleries, art fairs, & markets. Sustainability underpins her practice, with recycled & repurposed materials incorporated wherever possible.

Alongside her paintings, Jo also produces limited-edition prints, each individually hand-printed & cut, ensuring no two are ever exactly alike. By taking personal control of every stage, from photography to printing & the final cut of the paper, she blurs the line between reproduction & original artwork, offering collectors pieces that carry the mark of the artist’s hand. This intimate approach reflects her process-driven practice & reinforces her commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship, & the value of variation within repetition.
