Elemental
£50.00
Raw, untamed, and deeply expressive, Elemental embodies the primal forces of nature.
Streaks of fiery red, stormy blue, and earthy greens merge in a chaotic yet harmonious balance, resembling the interplay between fire, water, air, and earth.
Layers of paint create a textured effect, echoing the power of natural erosion and rain-soaked landscapes. White splashes and dynamic drips add movement, as if energy itself pulses through the piece.
This painting invites the viewer to connect with the fundamental essence of existence, the elements that shape our world and our own inner landscapes. The name was chosen by my niece, Lydia, aged 8 at the time, who interpreted part of the painting as the Pixar character Ember Lumen.
The 14 40s Collection features original abstract paintings and fine art prints created on square 40 x 40 cm canvases, offering a versatile and highly sought-after size for modern interiors. Each artwork is created in my Oxfordshire studio using my intuitive, process-driven approach, combining layered paint, expressive mark-making, and rich surface texture.
Original 40 x 40 paintings are particularly popular with collectors seeking authentic contemporary art that fits easily into a variety of spaces. This square format works beautifully as a standalone statement piece or grouped as part of a gallery wall. The balanced proportions suit living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and home offices, making these artworks ideal for both new and experienced art collectors.
This collection includes both original paintings and fine art prints, allowing collectors to choose between owning a unique original artwork or a gallery-quality print of some of my most compelling pieces.

Original Art & Fine Art Prints Handmade in Oxfordshire
I use a variety of materials in my process. From brushes and pallet knives to cardboard scraps and sticks. My work is largely acrylic paint, whichever brand I can get on offer, and my preffered mediums are either Windsor and Newton or Liquitex.
Once signed and varnished, I photograph my paintings in natural light and crop to standard print sizes, adjusting levels to ensure as accurate a match to the original as possible. Once exported I print on my inkjet Epson P-900 SureColour. Tis a sexy beast.
I print onto a variety of papers, including high gloss and watercolour. My larger prints use satin 260gsm and my extra large prints (A1 & A0) are handled by a top notch local third party printing service I've been working with for years.
