Bee Series 3

Price

£14.00

Set against a strikingly weathered blue, white and silvery background, the scene features wildflowers swaying gently, their petals slightly tattered. Bees, adorned with rich yellow and black hues, are scattered among the blossoms, busy in their essential work.

The strokes of green grass and cascading vines add organic flow, while subtle white specks hint at pollen drifting through the air. The contrast between the bright flora and the deep, layered blue evocative of the ethereal, are to suggest both fragility and endurance. Bee3 is a depiction of a moment of stillness, a reminder of the beauty in small, fleeting interactions that sustain life.

Original Art & Fine Art Prints Handmade in Oxfordshire

I use a variety of materials in my process. From brushes and pallet knives to cardboard scraps and sticks. My work is largely acrylic paint, whichever brand I can get on offer, and my preffered mediums are either Windsor and Newton or Liquitex.

Once signed and varnished, I photograph my paintings in natural light and crop to standard print sizes, adjusting levels to ensure as accurate a match to the original as possible. Once exported I print on my inkjet Epson P-900 SureColour. Tis a sexy beast.

I print onto a variety of papers, including high gloss and watercolour. My larger prints use satin 260gsm and my extra large prints (A1 & A0) are handled by a top notch local third party printing service I've been working with for years.
